the path best traveled
When college campuses are designed, they are designed with absolutely
no walkways – initially, anyway. Instead, grass is laid everywhere and
architects wait and see. They wait to see where the traffic naturally
gravitates, where a path becomes obviously worn, and then follow this
path of least resistance.
They know, given some time to be still and observe, the path will become easy and the way will become clear.
Unlike those architects - we often lose patience with this process. Believing we either should know the way or forge our way, we often miss out on this very important lesson:
Sometimes the best path is the one not yet discovered.
