here's my top ten - for my last ten!

I received this note on my facebook page just the other day:

Dear Peg,

So this is your 26th day in a row of yoga, can you share a few of your revelations? I practice quit a bit but have never done it 26 days in a row

cheers...Joe

well joe,
thanks for asking.  because, as a matter of fact - i HAVE had quite a few revelations during my journey thus far.  consider the list below, my top ten:

  1. out of the 26 asanas practiced in bikram yoga - number 13 is my favorite!
  2. i can burn 450 calories in an ashtanga or power yoga class; 630 in a bikram class; and 28 typing this post.
  3. handstands took me 8 years to learn - a smooth and seamless jumpback may take me another 8.
  4. uddiyana and nauli kriya practiced just 3-4 times can get things moving quicker than you can say *dulcolax*
  5. patty ivey must make wicked brownies!
  6. peeps are remarkably resilient and ironically, adored by more yogis than one would think.  however never EVER eat one before a yoga class.  (you'll have to trust me on this one)
  7. splenda apparently - is the spawn of satan
  8. there are only two people that can pull off hot pink arm warmers:  kimberly wilson and madonna.  but i DID try.
  9. there are more than 40 days in lent.  apparently sundays don't count.  i've been duped.
  10. and lastly, i am much more comfortable on top than i am on bottom.

if you are reading this and i do not see you tomorrow in class - then you either live across the world in mumbai or you have suddenly come down with the worst case of food poisening from eating peeps left over from st. paddy's day . . . 1984.

all else, see you tomorrow -  day 31 - at down dog yoga.  6 p.m.

i'm countin' down now . . .
