that's right, due to a deficit, studios that train yoga teachers are now coincidentally (?) being considered a post-secondary education. and being charged a pretty hefty annual fee . . . most studios will not be able to afford this. many will close their programs. and some studios will close their doors.
and this is not just happening in virginia either!
but guess who made us vulnerable to begin with? yoga alliance - the very organization that was put into place to be our advocates . . . the ones we, who
its time to put your money where your mat is!
1. post this video or tag yourself
2. join FB's virginia yoga teacher group
3. write a letter to your representative (find the letter here)
4. put your money where your mat is - and that's NOT yoga alliance. (if you are registered, a quick phone call to 1-888-921-9642 with the request to have your information taken down from their website would do you some good.)
when you know the right thing to do is . . . you should have much trouble doing anything else. take an active stand. don't just assume someone else will.
