monday's mantra

"and i've got myself a new mantra
it says don't forget to have a good time"

~ani difranco

this was the weekend i needed.  you see, life has gotten so serious.

for example, i've had some serious work to do . . . we are seriously looking at colleges for my daughter . . . my son's soccer team is on a serious losing streak . . . and our house is seriously falling apart (or at least, the roof is).

serious business, all this is.

but so serious, i should forget to have a good time?

saturday, i danced with shiva.  sunday, i flew with paige and vanessa.  and in between, there was a morning outing with my good friend (and wonder twin) to my favorite ashtangi's class.

so, like ani . . . i have a new mantra!

and it involves some serious amounts of fun . . . enjoy the song below.

(perhaps you, too, will adopt this new mantra)

Today I have decided to finish some serious work (because I'm sick of it not being finished). But, now, I'm going to think of it as fun too. Because as someone said, the same work has to get done; you can make it difficult or easy!
