arm balances

we were learning to fly
though we ain't got wings
and coming down
was the hardest thing!

... to paraphrase the great tom petty!  yesterday, i led a workshop focusing on arm balances.  a request was made for me to show each we learned - presumably so everyone can practice at home (?)

here they are!  enjoy!

    bakasana <crow>

     parsva bakasana  <side crow>

     ardha bakasana  <half crow>

     eka pada koundinyasana ll

buja pindasana (shoulder press) to tittibasana (firefly)

     galavasana (flying pigeon)

     astavakrasana  (crazy eight)

     yogini dandasana

and below is a short video from our time together ... to quote another great soul, kathryn budig:

stay calm and bakasan on!
