seeing stars
do you remember your favorite teacher?
a teacher who lit a spark within you . . . a teacher who held you captive by his/her passion and knowledge . . . a teacher who inspired you to take risks, reach beyond, and explore your own potential?
a person who helps you realize that the star you are seeing - is you.
i'm really fortunate as i have had more than one of those kinds of teachers in my lifetime. there was my professor from graduate school - known as one of the toughest and most challenging. he believed in each student's potential and held them to his high expectations and standards. an easy A, he was not.
yet, rather than shying away from the challenge - i took every class i could from him. he knew more about human behavior and therapeutic techniques than any other professor/counselor i'd encountered. i worked hard in his classes, not for a good grade, but for the depth of knowledge and growth in a subject i found fascinating.
right now, i have another one of those teachers
here in town. someone who again inspires me to dig deep, reach high, and delight in being a student once again.
his name is david kyle, of it's yoga puerto rico . he continually inspires me to take risks in my own practice as a student - and to explore my untapped potential.
he believes in me - and his faith is contagious.
over the past few years, i have taken every advantage to learn from him . . . and i'd love to invite you to also share in my learning experience:
this wednesday, david will be bringing his rocket yoga class at the lululemon store in g'town. not surprising, his classes sold out immediately at flow yoga center as did his advanced teacher training this coming week. so this may be your one opportunity to experience david firsthand.
